InoviToy – Biggie Ball Packaging Innovation
Product: Biggie Ball (Pack of 6)
Category: Toys
Objective: Unique & functional packaging for a multi-unit toy product
Challenge:
InoviToy was launching a new baby product—Biggie Ball, a rattle-teether hybrid designed for infants. They wanted to sell the product as a set of six balls, but traditional packaging approaches lacked the visual impact and functionality they were aiming for. The packaging needed to be:
- Visually unique to stand out in the highly cluttered toy market
- Structurally engaging, aligned with the playful spirit of the brand
- Functional and protective, while allowing product visibility
Solution:
We conceptualized and executed a two-in-one vertical box design that merged creativity with practicality:
- The packaging was divided into two adjacent vertical compartments—each holding three balls.
- One side of the box features a large transparent window to showcase the toys inside, catching attention instantly on shelves.
- The unique vertical format gave it a tower-like appeal, unlike standard horizontal toy boxes.
- The use of vibrant color blocking and playful typography further strengthened its kid-friendly identity.
- This design not only ensured product protection but also brought a new, market-first format that no other toy brand had explored before.
Outcome:
- High shelf impact: The vertical, dual-compartment design made the pack stand out across retail spaces.
- Customer curiosity and delight: The transparent window built anticipation while still keeping three balls hidden—adding a surprise factor.
- Brand differentiation: InoviToy was able to project innovation and creativity, in line with its positioning.
This was more than just packaging – it became part of the product’s identity.
